Order of Parading Bands for Grand Kadooment!

The Stokes and Bynoe Grand Kadooment, to be held on Monday, August 3, 2009, puts the cap on the six-week Crop Over Festival in an unmatched array of colour and mass revellery.

Some 18 bands have registered for this year’s parade, and will take the following route to Spring Garden, beginning from the National Stadium, Waterford, St. Michael: From the National Stadium to Combermere School, left to Waterford Junction, right to Station Hill to Eastmond Corner, right on to Bank Hall Cross Road to Eagle Hall, on to Black Rock Main Road to Brighton Corner, left on to Brighton Road to Spring Garden, left on to the Spring Garden Highway. Bands have the option to go right down to Holborn.

The judging critertia for parading bands include Portrayal, Craftmanship, Presentation, Originality and Visual Impact.

Part of the street parade is the judging of the Tune-of-the-Crop, in which the singer of the most played song on the road wins the coveted title Road March King. All results will definitely be revealed on Tuesday, August 4th, 2009.
